Domestic abuse affects many people in the world. The focus of this site is to educate people about the nature and symptoms of abuse and to enable people to be freed from abuse and live in hope and safety.  Abuse is the pattern of behaviors in a relationship that are used by one person to gain and/or maintain power and control over the other person. The abuser feels entitled to this power and control because he fells he is superior to the victim. An abuser uses power to cause fear in the victim. His victim is an object to be used for his pleasure and gratification.  This website contains the opinions and stories of people who have experienced abuse. We are not professionals, but we have learned through our experiences and by reading and learning. We hope to help others so that fewer people will be living with abusive relationships.
